On Friday, April 21st, Red Bull Music Academy teams up with Rokolectiv Festival for the first time to present a night of shape-shifting club deconstructions at Control Club. Select performances will be recorded and broadcast on Red Bull Radio, one of the largest resources for discovering new music on the web.

A shaman leads ancient rituals in the desert with her iPad; a spacecraft hovers over the savannah, emitting purple smoke over the thirsty earth. Calling on images of high-tech tribalism, Black Zone Myth Chant, an alias of the French experimentalist and SHAPE artist High Wolf, conjures Afro-futurist psychedelia with trance-inducing footwork.

From Sandwell District, Juan Mendez aka AKA Silent Servant shows his appreciation for both dark warehouse techno and DIY post-punk and industrial music. With an unusual genesis in ‘90s L.A., Silent Servant is an ever-evolving and influential artist for an upcoming generation of young musicians.

After educating himself on the world of obscure electro while working in a record store in his native Holland, Berlin-based DJ Delta Funktionen comes with a set that reflects his years of dedicated digging, designed with one eye on the past and two feet stamping toward optimum dance floor “demolition.”

Upcoming elusive talent Șerb closes the night with a techno set that pours analogue honey in post rave ears. Born and raised in Craiova where he spent his youth playing guitar in the punk band Nihilistic, Șerb’s new adventures in techno lead him to a fresh release on Cosmin TRG’s Fizic label.

All throughout the night, Bucharest’s adventurous DJ Scoro delivers a long set of rugged, polyrhythmic beats and subtle, atonal sounds at Front Control.
